Reservoir Doggin' It at Mortgage Revolution

If you’ve been paying attention to guys like Frank & Brian, Dustin Hughes, etc… you know that we’re at the front edge of a Video Revolution.  I for one consider myself a 2 on a scale of 10 at using video for marketing purposes.

At Mortgage Revolution New York this past weekend, attendees got to hang out and learn from some of the best and brightest in the industry.  To get an idea of what you missed if you weren’t there, enjoy the video below.

These guys are right.  Just take out the video camera and start shooting something… anything.  Get that forward momentum working for you.  Forget about the tomato being thrown at you.  Try to set aside your inhibitions.  Be interesting.  Above all else – find a buddy that’s in it with you.  I’m stoked to raise my video marketing game.

  1. I love it. Way to step up the video. If that’s the Bar we have to step over for our video’s you made it a little high :-).

    Great way to push everyone into getting out there and just doing it, create that video.

    Leave it to a couple old school TBWS users to be making movie spoof shorts now.

    That was a lot of fun to shoot and a lot of fun to be a part of. Yes, we planned it for weeks and then we shoot it in half a day and it took hours of editing. I was happy to plan, meet for the shoot etc. but I am not as good as Garrick & Rich at editing so Garrick had that task.

    We just finished several scenes from Pulp Fiction that is more for consumers and Realtors in our market place and we in fact will have 5 different videos for each scene we shot. One for each of us involved to take to our market place.

    The trailer releases on 1/28 and then we will be releasing a new video each Friday in February. We shot two scenes here in northern CA and the rest of them we met in San Diego to shoot. For me, it was like a mini vacation and I get a month and a half of marketing plus videos that will keep on working for me.

    What Mark is saying about just shoot it and go is the point here. get it out there, be sincere, have fun and it will work for you.
